What are these classes?
In addition to my regular teaching schedule, I teach classes to pregnant and postparum moms. These classes are grounded in the principles of The Danaher Method - Pilates, self-myofascial release and strength training. These classes for moms go deep into diaphragmatic breathing, pelvic floor recovery, myofascial release, core rebuilding, chest opening and upper-body strengthening. All with an emphasis on connecting to yourself. Having a community during this stage of life is something I feel strongly about, and felt when I was pregnant and post-partum with my son. Each class includes "circle time" where we just talk about life, share tips, vent, cry and just be. This is an opportunity to share, connect and feel supported.
Who is this class good for?
Pre-natal classes are appropriate for any stage of pregnancy. Pre-natal classes emphasize diaphragmatic breathing, self-myofascial release, anatomy and physiology of the pelvic floor and how to incorporate these foundations into movement during your pregnancy. You'll learn proper form, technique and breathing strategies with personalized guidance.
Postpartum classes emphasize core rebuilding, understanding intra-abdominal pressure thru diaphragmatic breathing, strengthening the muscles overused while holding and feeding baby and restorative self-myofascial release. Together we build confidence in your body to feel safe and empowered in your body.Postpartum classes are appropriate if you are under 2 years postpartum or if you're still experiencing symptoms related to pregnancy & childbirth.

What is the schedule?
The schedule gets set seasonally based on the timing the works best for most. Generally there is a class on Saturdays and a mid-week class. If you want to participate you'll complete this form and share your availability with me and I'll do my best to find the schedule that works best for most.
Groups are organized in cohorts and meet for 6 or 8 week cycles. My clients re-enroll season to season.
How long are the classes?
Classes are 55 minutes (so basically an hour, ha!).
Can I bring my baby?
No. This class is intentionally not a mama and me class because this is all about the mama and I want you to be able to be fully present in the space.
Is it a combined pre-natal & postpartum class or separate?
This changes season to season but for Fall 2026 the classes will be separate.
Where does class take place?
At The Floor on Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn
How do I sign up?
Start by completing this form with your availablity. From there I will share the sign up link. You will sign up for the semester of classes.
What if I can't make a class in the series?
If you can't join a class you can join another class during the period as a make-up.
I want to join the cohort but the current timing doesn't work for me. How can I stay in the loop for upcoming sessions?
Complete this form anyway. Make sure you subscribe to our emails so you'll receive updates. You can also subscribe to our TDM Mom's Newsletter where I share any and all information on these classes. If you're eager to get started email Catherine@thedanahermethod.com about 1:1 session availablity.
Is there a virtual class option?
Currently there is not a virtual class option but there is a complete channel of online pre-natal & postpartum classes available on our video library. This is a great place to start moving. If you're interested in a virtual cohort, join our mailing list and reach out to Catherine directly.
If you're intested in enrolling you can do so here, plus find more information. Feel free to email me directly if you have specific questions.
xx
