Presenting Traits:
Generally fit, runs, strength trains, no regular schedule and limited time due to work/travel/family life
Tight in chest, anterior upper-body, some rounding in upper-back
Forward head/tech neck
Tight in hip flexors, weak in glutes
Will occasionally throw is back out which takes a week or so to recover from
New to thinking about breathing
THE DANAHER METHOD APPROACH TO THIS CLIENT:
I feel for this client. He has all of the best intentions for taking care of his body but life has gotten in the way. In our session I wanted to give him clear, actionable strategies that are realistic for him to practice. This included:
Chest opening & posture strength exercises to help with forward head and all the desk sitting he does
A straight forward core and strength routine that he can do 2-3x week on his own. Emphasis on back chain (glutes, hammies).
We will meet 1x week as his schedule allows and check back in on the strength work he does at home, progressing as he gets stronger
